JUDGEMENT TOWER

The Judgement tower at the end of the promenade next to the market is one of the remaining parts of the city wall that once protected medieval Maribor. In the past, the tower was the scene of the prosecution of witches and many visitors claim that the tower, when illumined by candles and torches, has a special spirit. The concerts held in the tower are more intimate and more subtle (chanson concerts or small jazz bands). The tower is arranged as a small café and it seats only 100 visitors, so you will need the special ticket booklet.
